It was very low in the sky. There were trees in the way at the back of the house, and we had to cross the road from where we could see it just above the roofs of our side.
Nice shot, Beefy. I tried to get a photo but it was a long exposure with a blurry result. I couldn't be assed to get my tripod out at 10:30 at night, especially as some people were looking out of windows not at the eclipse but wondering what our little group of neighbours were up to!

I didn't know there was one either until I saw the news.  Daft thing is, I was out last night and we all commented on how the nights were drawing in and that it looked like rain.  With hindsight, we were witnessing the eclipse (hidden behind cloud). 


Nice shot beefy.  Good to see what I could have been looking at if it wasn't for the clouds!
