I'm planning to walk the Trossachs in May, Arrochar alps in particular. Is it possible for the higher summits like Beinn Ime to have snow early May or would most of the snow be melted by then judging by previous years? Thanks, Henry

The Trossachs and Arrochar hills generally don't hold snow that long, and at the moment there's none. So should be snow free by May.

Off to Lochgoilhead for a long weekend in early March - be interesting to see what conditions are like on the hills after all the mild weather.

I was out walking in the Ochils on Sunday in a T-shirt.
