[TR] Holly Hill and Coldrum Longbarrow Walk
« on: 20:06:47, 07/04/18 »
A short 5 miler before work on Thursday in Kent and the glorious sun.

A 5 mile walk from Holly Hill, a beautiful area of peaceful, unspoilt beech and yew woodland that commands views over the Medway to the east. On a sunny day you can sometimes also see as far as Canary Wharf in London. At 196 metres above sea level, this is one of the highest points in Kent. You then walk through beautiful woods and farmland down to Coldrum Longbarrow, a Neolithic burial chamber before a long hard slog back uphill to Holly Hill. Car parking is free at Holly Hill postcode DA13 0UB, but the car park is locked at night.
