Good for him.
I am in the middle of a trip to the Lakes with my son and my dad.

Hope that you are having better weather than we are.

I still remember the first time that my father took me up a hill; it was Helm Crag above Grasmere. I was only seven, and it seemed like a mountain to me!

Raining in Glen Nevis  :(
We drove east to try to escape the rain - all the way to Glen Feshie! Caught some drizzle but it was dry on the way back down the Glen from the bothy.

Forecast for tomorrow better though. :)

Mate it's too hot here. Think i got minor heat stroke earlier. Rains a pain, but heat's a killer.
I reckon you've got some damn amazing views up there too. I have to get to the highlands.
Hope it dries up for you tomo

I"pl take the sunshine.  Absolutely gorgeous up on Dartmoor today. 12 degrees cooler than last Sunday. At 19 C, but still glorious sunshine all day long.

Hot again today.  Set out early but it was still a bit too warm.  Lovely day again though. Took in Great Links and Fur Tor then Tavy Cleave and home for Lunch.

Did a roughly 20km circular today from hexton. It was bloody hot, but a nice walk including Barton hills nature reserve, passed Pegsdon hills and Deacon hill beacon.

Really enjoyed my walk on the moor today.  So much cooler than of late and some how managed to avoid all of the rain too.   Trying to get fit for a trip to the lakes with my son.  So took in plenty of ups and down between. Great Links, Cox, Pew, Great Mix and Kings Tors.

It's our WI walking group walk this weekend so most likely* keeping it local - and probably* will end up in a tea room somewhere for a cuppa and bun afterwards  O0

Then, if the weather's fairly reasonable# I'm having a couple of days away camping/walking to try and get my Challenge365 miles back up to speed again  O0

* for "most likely" and "probably" read "absolutely definitely, beyond a shadow of a doubt" ;D

# for "fairly reasonable" read "not raining and not maftingly hot" :D

Out with our WI walking group yesterday.  I think we spent more time in the cafe than we did doing the walk.  Now that's what I call proper walking  ::)   O0

I was down (and up) in a couple of the quieter Derbyshire Dales yesterday; Gratton Dale & Long Dale.
Made it a 10ish mile circular in the end. A bit of a recce really, as will be leading others on the same walk in a few weeks.
