Slievenabrock hike
« on: 20:46:27, 14/02/16 »
Yesterday I climbed a mountain in the Mournes for the first time in 8 years. Don't know how I managed to miss it this length of time. Starting from Tullymore, I followed the river trail to the Drinns where I left the forest for the summit of Slievenabrock. There was much pathless terrain and the wind became stronger as I approached the summit. Upon gaining the summit, pleasant views opened up towards the Irish Sea, Murlough Bay, Castlewellan, Dromara hills. In the immediate foreground, I could see Shan slieve, Slieve Corragh, Slievnaaglogh, Bernagh, Meelmore and Lukes Mountain in front of Tullymore. The walk was just over 12km.
