You only had to go back 5 years to find a whole day of sun in the Lakes.

That's not true there was that Wednesday in June 2017 ;)

Think it's about even isn't it?  I've met Beefy twice - rained both times.  Met Karl once, rained.  100%.

Could do with knowing your movements for the next few months as I've got some planning to do  ;D

In the spirit of the original posts - that's a pretty poor TR, wish I hadn't bothered reading just as I'm delighted to have been able to join you :(

;D  Cheers Jac, it was a pleasure not to meet you!

Glad that you had such a miserable time, Mel ;)

Seriously - sorry that I couldn't come.

No worries Richard, cheers  :)

Cracking write up in the spirit of the day, Mel.  Love the weather map!  Gloves are finally dry this morning.  Hope you got some time out yesterday as well as shopping.

I like to think Karl, Colin and I looked like the Walking Forum MRT rather then three postmen!

Edited just to say - I won't be adding any photos.  Far too incriminating/didn't take any.

Thanks Paul.  I managed to wring out my gloves and get an eggcup full of water from them  :D

the Walking Forum MRT... now there's an idea....

Enjoyed the tale of your misadventures Mel     :D

Cheers Dovegirl  :)

A most entertaining report and an excellent weather pic  O0

Thanks VGH.  Unfortunately that weather pic is the most accurate weather forecast I've ever found  :(

Excellent Tr Mel O0
Sensible bit of hillcraft. Wouldn't have wanted to call out the MR for a bad case of frothy crotch  :o    And unless we have a freak tectonic event Red Screes will still be there in the spring.

Cheers Karl.   ;D  frothy crotch!  Forgot about that.  No wonder you slid so far with all that soap...

Great report Mel.
Glad you didn't post your pics of the boys in their matching speedos by the tarn.

Thanks Mark. Who said anything about anyone wearing speedos..

Snow is there to be ENJOYED, Mel, not avoided  :D

And in weather conditions like that, it would have been enjoyed  O0

Mel. Found the TR we were discussing - http://www.walkingforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=29186.msg425124#msg425124  much preferred our day though with that lovely grey cloud and none of that pesky bright sunshine spoiling the pics ;D

That's the one!  Can't believe it was 5 years ago  :o

Great write up Mel  O0

Shame the weather was a bit rubbish for you, you deserve a good'n next visit  :)

Cheers April  :)   though "the weather was a bit rubbish" is being nominated for the "Understatement Of The Year" Awards  :D

Great trip report mel  O0

You should have come to wooler  ;D

Haha, seeing as you only booked Wooler to avoid my meet....

I won't be employing KWPS (Karl's Weather Provision Service) again  ;)

May I direct the honourable member to my post of the 2nd Feb in the meet up section where I said " I'll bring the bad weather "
Which was my ( failed ) attempt to trick the weather gods with a bit of reverse psychology  ;)

Cheers for that link.  Interesting little bit of background.

Surely the weather's got to be better by May  :-X
