I'm probably going to regret asking this very quickly but here goes.
If I have a route on my GPS how do I convert it to a Gpx file and how can I share it on this site?
-
I can answer how to share it for you. Either upload to Google Drive or Dropbox and share the link or you can upload to a dedicated GPX sharing site like:
http://gpsies.com (http://gpsies.com)
Or ninthace's old favourite:
http://www.haroldstreet.org.uk (http://www.haroldstreet.org.uk)

Assuming it's a Garmin GPS it will already be a gpx file in the GPX folder on your device. Share it anyway you want, you can email it or whatever.
-
Or publish it on ViewRanger and share the link.

Ok, just testing.

This is the route I asked about yesterday, interesting to watch it in 3D thanks for sharing it.

Works for me - personally I would want more waypoints to cope with poor visibility.

Glad it worked.

Yes it that track. Your question about Gpx files got me as I'd not been asked about one before. learnt something new anyway.
it's quite good in 3D.

Just a tip for you when using Dropbox, Owen - when sharing direct links to files, Dropbox 'customers' will get brought to the file directly for a download whereas those who don't use it will have an extra box they need to click away (asking them to subscribe to the service) before they download it. If you want simply for them to get the file, change the dl=0 to dl=1 at the end of the link to skip that sign-up phase.

Ok I'll make a note of that.
