Jane Tomlinson’s Yorkshire Dales Walking Festival for 2012 will take place on Sunday 19th August 2012.
Starting and finishing in the historic Settle Market Town there really is something for everyone with a range of distances to suit everyone’s abilities.  There is the choice to take on the 26 mile marathon challenge, the 14mile walk, 5 mile walk or the 4.5mile Walk and Wheel. A memorable day filled with spectacular views is guaranteed.
Thanks to the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority, the routes have been chosen to showcase this special area as well as ensuring that we leave as light a mark on the environment as possible. Malhamdale Area Ranger Cat Kilner, who was closely involved with last year’s event, explains:
“The beautiful Dales scenery offers it all for walkers, so we were delighted to be able to work with the Jane Tomlinson Appeal to host the Yorkshire Dales Walking Festival.
Like all of our events, we have a number of partner charities looking for support from across Yorkshire and the Pennines including the Jane Tomlinson Appeal, Heart Research UK, Parkinson’s, Macmillan, Epilepsy Action, Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, Martin House Hospice, Diabetes UK and Arthritis Research UK.
Further information about the event for is available at our website
We look forward to welcoming you to our event for what is set to be an incredible festival in the Dales.
