Title: TR A walk from Hexham, Northumberland Sun 25 Nov 18
Post by: April on 18:39:04, 27/11/18
We went to Hexham on Sunday, we were too late getting up to go to the Lakes. It was drizzling and we felt a bit lazy so we wanted a short walk

The sun did come out a few times and light up the view

We walked halfway along this then stopped for lunch.

Rain and sun together, this was our lunchtime view

We got a bit cold so we didn't sit for long. We retraced our steps to Dukes House.

We took a footpath we'd not been on before through Halfmile Wood to get back to Hexham. It avoided the main road that we'd walked up on the way up. Now we know where it starts in the housing estate we will use it next time we are up this way. Our walk was Hexham - Dukes House - Dilston Park - Dukes House - Halfmile Wood - Hexham 10km with 200m ascent

Thanks for sharing a walk around the Hexham area. Another one to add to those you suggested previously  O0

I don't know about 'scratch & sniff' cards - your photos seem to convey the weather rather well .... can't think of a good name for them, something like 'look & brrrr'  :-\

I doubt anyone would want to scratch and sniff anywhere around beefy  :D

Hexham is a nice town but I wish there were more walks from the town on foot. Using a car there are loads of places a few miles away to start a walk from. Too far on foot though  :(
