My first proper trek into the snow filled mountains with a couple of loons (Max & Micky) in our recent Nantlle ridge fun. The weather was truly amazing as was the scenery and I suppose the company was ok ;)

All in all a fantastic walk and a picture I am quite proud of as well.

Great pictures and great days on the hill!

Thanks to all - and let's see some more!

As this is my PC wallpaper it has to be my fav. Taken from near the summit of Y-Garn on a very cool day out with Jill & my daughter. Just reminds me what a great place this area of Snowdonia is. I don't think it needs any introduction  8)

Some great shots capturing the spirit.

I know its been on many times before and you've seen it lots but to me, this was my favourite shot of the year walking wise. It just sums up to me, everything perfect about a day out walking, deep fresh snow, clear blue skies, views to die for and great company on the day:

Paul, you said not 'photo genius' and then show that one, great photo.

I've posted this one before but mine would be my son's first crossing of Striding Edge.

Not a great photo, none of mine ever are, but a great memory.

fantastic shot! everything is just perfect!!!!  O0 love it!

Great thread!

After much deliberation, I have chosen this shot of my eldest daughter walking up The Storr, Isle of Skye.  Snow, sun and t-shirts in Scotland in April, what a great day.

Excellent keep em coming.
My Favourite photo is this one, my wife Yvonne (in the lighter blue coat) and her sister Vivian coming down from the old man of storr, the reason being that despite the constant rain we where all so thrilled to be able to walk in this wonderful part of the country, just fantastic, just after this photo was taken they both broke out into a little song and dance,……………………Happy days.
Sadly my sister in law is very poorly just having had  a mastectomy and is now undergoing a course of chemotherapy/radiotherapy.

Taken when our world was a brighter place and life was so much simpler,
……………………………..thank you Mick

Thanks for that.

Lots of great photos and memories from everyone.
Aren't we lucky to be able to get out there doing what we enjoy, with people we love, in a great country. A bit of blessing counting is always worth doing.

Some amazing shots on here. Wish I could get my boy (6) to walk like that Ruthr! Also Ken, I am not a big fan of camping, however for that view I'm bedding down for the night!

It's not the best i've ever taken and it would be almost impossible to search through every photo i've taken in the last twelve month's ,but this one springs to mind as one to remember . From L to R .Starling , 109GS, Mad Max and myself on the lower slopes of Carnedd y Filiast ( Arenigs ) taking  a well earned break after a couple of miles of yomping through knee high snow drifts .
After two and a half hours walking using me ( mostly ) as the snow plough we had covered just over two miles .What a tiring day .
Everyday when i wake up i thank the Lord im Welsh .
