Nothing to do with walking, but I love this shot taken at my brother's wedding on Friday:

My wife took this one last week in Scarborough - just enough light so you can make out some detail, but still managed to keep the mood and some of the colour in the sky.

And one I took around the same time - very simple but I just like the angle of the shot.

And as I'm feeling greedy (well it is Sunday) one from the pier at Whitby last week - another simple one, but would have been better if I'd noticed that the 'lighthouse' wasn't completely perpendicular to the pier.

Fantastic pics Steve, the second one is the best for me  O0  You take my type of shots, finding the view and the mood is difficult but you don't seem to have a problem with this, i'm thinking i need to spend more time on location, maybe do shorter walks?  :)

Cheers Rich - many of the photos I take are just a record of the walk, but as we don't do particularly long walks I often spend a little more time 'on location' to look for the odd good shot. I do tend to keep some of these off Picasa though as the Picasa albums are normally there for a record of a trip, and not really for 'arty' purposes.

Beautiful shots, Tony! You did well to make the best of the high pressure O0 . It sure has been an amazing spell - just haven't been able to get out on the hills.  :-\

Benighted on the British hills back end of September - sounds cold, dark, wet and windy but looks distinctly gorgeous!!  O0
