A local pond to me that I have been trying to get a decent pic of for a while.
Well finally made one that I like and here it is.
Great Pond, Epsom Common, Surrey

A couple from Tuesday 25th Oct, walk I took a stroll over Conwy Mountain (a mere hill at 233 mtrs asl) and Penmaen-Bach (245 mtrs asl).

There are some fantastic views from the Great Orme, across to Anglesey, Snowdonia, over Llandudno, Conwy and the Conwy Valley, the Menai Straits to Beaumaris and even out across the Irish Sea.,

This tree on the banks of Gormire Lake seems to be straight out of Tolkien's Lord of the Rings

Not perhaps the best photograph as the depth of field was obstructed by a sheet of water, but it is the culmination of an ambition to walk behing the waterfall Sgwd yr Elra, which Mrs BWW and I did as part of a circuit of the falls last weekend.
