Thanks YG and YY - yes, I'm glad I got the zoom lens, YY, it helps me tell the difference!  :D

That is good. Like the bit about tweaking, synonym for using a bit of expertise.

Reminds me I must remember to set my camera to RAW the next time I use it. I keep forgetting. I keep on putting off learning how to use the software.

That was the Puffin shot I was after - but I went far too early in the season to get it! ::)

Thanks Tracey and everyone else. That puffin was clearly after a modelling fee; he stood on a rock about 6 feet from all the long lenses, just sitting there taking direction!

This one was much harder to get; they don't hang about once they're in the air!

Puffins, my favourite  :smitten:

I was reading this article about fake wildlife photographs where any body can go to a game farm and hire an animal e.g a wolf to pose against a suitable backdrop. Seems like cheating to me

Me too, though I guess it's not much different to photoshopping a background in!

I can promise mine are real!

Yes yours are obviously are real and great shots, your mention of modelling fee reminded me of that article. These fake shots crop up in wildlife calendars and competitions where I think they should have to declare what they've been up to.

Mark that's a fab shot of flying Puffins - I know how difficult they are to get from our Farnes day last year!
