@sparklebug

just dropping by to post my fave pic from the weekend in scotland - it was infact from the drive through Glencoe, of the 3 sisters of Glencoe. The drive from glasgow, via Loch Lomond, the Highlands, then Glencoe to Fort William is one of the most scenic & wild ones i've ever done. I recommend this in itself. I do plan to return to Glencoe in the near future , with a potential wild camp in the Lost Valley of Glencoe. Google the lost valley if you haven't come across it - looks like a canny adventure :-)

Fortunately it was dry on saturday for the Ben Nevis walk - wet the day before/after - so fairly lucky, However no views from the summit (Im told you cant see from teh summit on 9 out of 10 days - so got to be lukcy with that!). I did get some decent pics on the ascent though - which i'll post on my blog in the next few days.

It was only really my second walking trip to scotland. the first being to visit the Outer Hebrides (Lewis/harris etc), from what i coudl gather from other peoples opinions - Glencoe is regarded as perhaps the best Glen to visit - and that's where I will be heading back too!

Great photo of the atmospheric Glen - but for dramatic scenery you ought to head  a bit further north for An Teallach and the Great Wilderness of Shenavall  O0 Plenty of space for wild camping there.

Hi all,

there are some amazing pictures here. Thought I'd throw my two pennies in with this picture I took on top of Kinder Scout!
