Magnificent day on Mellbreak part two
« on: 18:38:03, 10/09/19 »
Following on from my earlier report, I climbed low fell last Saturday afternoon from the Kirkstile Inn. The name is so misleading; this is a grueling ascent through ferns. The reward is great but you are made to work for it. Upon summiting the view of Crummock Water and surrounding western fells is one of the best I've ever seen. I didn't fancy the ferns again so I opted for the easier option of descending to Low Lorton where the honister rambler, 77A picked me up later that day.

More lovely pics Henry.  It's been so long since I've been near a mountain  :(

Fab photos Henry  O0

I think the view from Low Fell up toward Crummock Water and surrounding fells is one of the best views in the Lake District, certainly in a top ten list  :)

Fabulous pics, you certainly had better weather than my recent trips.
