Hi Henry, it isn't on their website yet.  Cumbria County Council have a few of the timetables on theirs,
https://www.cumbria.gov.uk/buses/carlisle/default.asp

Scroll down to the Forthcoming changes bit and select the bus numbers. It says the 555 timetable is not available yet. They are a bit late this year are Stagecoach!

The new timetable is now available on the Stacecoach website.

Thanks April. Will drop in to that thread where someone was asking about buses from Windermere.

You are welcome Gunwharfman  O0

What isn't helpful is Stagecoach seemed to have missed some of the buses! Is the 554 not running? No mention of it on the timetable from 6 April on Stagecoach or Cumbria County Council website. I am assuming there are no changes to the winter timetable.

The Caldbeck Rambler the 73 is still running, as is the 208 Keswick to Patterdale, Saturdays only

Timetables for those can be found here
https://www.cumbria.gov.uk/buses/carlisle/default.asp

Scroll down to the Forthcoming changes bit and select the bus numbers.

There is also a 104 bus to Penrith from Carlisle (never in the Lakes booklet) where you can connect with the 508 or X4 or X5 buses.

People arriving at the so called Lake District Airport in Carlisle might be mistaken that there are no buses running from Carlisle to the Lake District if they pick up the Summer timetable at the airport.

Thanks for posting that April - keep promising myself to get organised and use the buses more.  Love it if you time it well enough to have a cake (or a pint) before the bus arrives.

Crazy that we can't get a single bus timetable for an area isn't it?  No joined up thinking allowed in the public transport sector.

Not solely Lake District related but I came across this website when looking for bus times.

Seems to be fairly up to date & a good start point when you are trying to work out public transport links.

Thank you for this link dave  O0

I have found out through it that the 554 Carlisle - Keswick is changing the bus timetable a little. We might have missed the bus home after 6th April! Thanks again  :)

I will be sending an email to Stagecoach later about the new booklet and the missing bus timetables and no new timetable for the 554 available on their website. It isn't on Cumbria County Council's website either, I might drop them a line too. I've noticed on the Stagecoach bus map in the booklet the 208 is not on there. Do they not want people to use it? At least they have the 73 and 554 on the map.

Stagecoach have now published the other timetables on their website underneath the link for the summer timetable. The 73, 208, 554 and 755 are on it.

I did send them a rather ranting email last week  :)

https://www.rome2rio.com/   is a fun site for planning journeys. I just tried it for a hypothetical journey from Exeter to Windermere.  It returned options by car, bus train and plane.  I also tried Windermere to Greater Langdale and it offered  costed drive, taxi and bus options

I just used it to plan a train journey back down south and was greeted with an alternate route option that saved loads of money. Upon trying to buy said tickets however it's estimated price was way out and it was cheaper to use the normal route, which was the same as the one suggested by the train line and national rail. The suggested bus route used a bus that only runs once a week. Nice and fast though.
