Heaven forbid if Ordnance Survey catch you reproducing their maps, without first asking their permission.
Their copyright is heavily guarded, but depending on the application the reproduction is being used for, permission by letter (not email) is usually granted.
Ask them first, it can save an awful lot of grief later on.
Some time ago in Newport shopping centre, i wanted a rather attractive greetings card, reproduced onto a canvas print.
The card showed a lovely autumn scene of the Golden Valley near Pontrillas outside Hereford, and my friends remote farm was there in the top left hand corner.
The very nice shop owner explained to me in some considerable detail, that the C symbol on the back of the card, meant that his business meant more to him, than infringing copyright laws.
Copyright law is a huge minefield for those who infringe company ideas, and products, just ask BMW when they went after the Chinese who copied the design of the BMW X5.
