Just ahead at the moment but around High Cup Nick tracker coverage is patchy so a waiting game to see how it all pans out.

Oh I'd forgotten about that bit like the far side of the moon. I'm off to work shortly anyway so they may be back in contact by lunchtime.

sussamb, we may be doing a recce of your Haystacks path on Saturday or Sunday, the forecast isn't too bad at the moment  :)

Eoin left Middleton about 20 minutes ahead of John Kelly having arrived about 30 minutes after him.

The trackers are starting to pick up again as they come down to Dufton. I assume Eugeni is still with the others.

His tracker hasn't been updated since 7.43 so he can't be too far behind the first couple.
Edit: Now working, about 1 mile behind.  I think that tonight will be the testing time that will decide the race.

John Kelly always seems to have enough pace to drift ahead during the day but Eugeni now appears to be improving his position, perhaps he has balanced his effort/sleep better.  Eoin is drifting behind a bit at the moment.  Haven't a clue now who to put my money on (if I had any). :-\

Eugeni was the last to leave CP3,around 4.35 ,and still managed to catch the other pair after ten miles so it shows he is still strong and his mental attitude is good.I haven't got a clue who is going to win but whoever it is will certainly deserve it.Sabrina Verjee is also in with a chance as she only needed an hours sleep last night to be fully *refreshed* (according to Facebook).

Does anyone know when the leaders left Dufton last year? I can't find in on line but this feels very quick.

The problem with trying to follow this too closely is the differences in tracking update times. Eoin appears to have been dropped by Eugeni but, as I type, Eoin was last tracked at 14:51 and Eugeni at 15:10.

And then it updates and while Eoin is behind the gap isn’t much.
