Time to call it a day.  I hope that he is OK and that he is in a bivvy or that someone is on the way to check he is well.
He has just started moving again, going back hopefully via the Dales Way to the B6255 where I trust there is a lift awaiting.
Edit: Safely in transport now and on the way to Hawes at speed.

Eoin has struggled (?) into Alston.  He seems to have been very tired on this stretch.  Needs a good sleep and then a final push to Kirk Yetholm without a rest?
Eugeni now off chasing John in the dark. Edit: Well I thought he was but not so sure now. No not moving, perhaps better to have a different strategy to John.

Providing he dosen't suffer injury John Kelly has got this race in the bag.He now has the same kind of lead that Jasmin had over Eugeni last year and the weather over the next 24 hours looks far kinder.Jayson Cavill looks good for a possible second place as he has now caught Eoin and Eugeni.

Just watching Facebook, John Kelly has little more than 2 hours sleep so far including 15 minutes against a wall somewhere!  Eugeni intends having a short sleep at Alston before moving along. Eoin intends to rest at Alston for a while before moving on.

Re the comment about John above, will he take a sleep somewhere - if not surely he must run out of energy.

The Pennine Way is well sign posted in Dufton! Or did he sample too many of the beverages in the Stag Inn?

I can't work out how/where he went - it looks as though he sent a drone up with his tracker!

Can't work out 248, he is continuing but he seems to have got a lift to Hawes from the Pennine Way and then back to Horton and then returned to Hawes to continue

The trackers are possibly to blame, a friend of mine (Peter Gold 154) was shown ahead of the pack at some point today  ;D

Wouter's track is typical of a gps losing fix, same with 248.

Tracker showing Jayson is on the move.  Nearly 8 miles to make up.
