Very confused for a moment, expecting Birks (Lake District) and got somewhere completely different. Lovely pics all the same.

Cheers Ridge - I always new the hill as Old Cote Moor but I think that applies to the area where the trig point in. Indeed, the OS map has Birks Fell marked very close to the summit

When I were a lass Birks fell was the centre of the multi-pub walk, Arncliffe - Litton and either Kettlewell and Starbotton , or Buckden and Hubberholme, or on a really good day all six, if you could time it to catch them open.
I know the Buck Inn is closed now, and not sure if there is still a pub in Starbotton, but I suppose with a bit of determination you could extend the walk to Cray......
