Title: Parking in the borders
Post by: Islandplodder on 11:32:11, 26/08/20
I am planning a sort of borders cycle tour, with a bit of walking and hopefully wild camping, midges and weather permitting. Does anyone know where we could leave a car for about 4 days in Peebles, or maybe Selkirk? In the past I have always asked the local tourist information, but these days they are remarkably hard to find or contact.

I've only parked at Potburn, west of Ettrick overnight and near Talla Reservoir. There are free car parks in both Peebles and Selkirk but I don't know if you can park overnight or whether it would be safe to do so and for 4 days.

Here is a link to the car park info

Thanks April, that link led to a phone number and a real live person who came up with helpful suggestions!
