Title: Yorkshire wold way in 4 days
Post by: Kd538 on 17:24:36, 14/02/18
Hello
Has anyone walked the Yorkshire wolds way in 4 days?
I'm looking at about 20 miles a day  and camping on the nights. I would prefer to camp in a campsite, but would wild camp if needed and ok to do so.
Has anyone do anything to a similar time scale who could offer me their itinerary and camping places.
Thanks
Katie

Might be wasting my time but.....

Possible itinery, approx mileage starting from Hessle would be..

Day 1, 23 miles to Goodmanham (Manor Farm £10)
Day 2, 14 miles to Huggate (Wolds Inn), free to camp as long as you eat/drink there.
Day 3, 18 miles to Wintringham (Yorkshire Wolds Way Caravan & Camping £12
Day 4, 23 miles to Filey (Filey Brig campsite right at the end, from £8

Did it slightly differently 1) to Market Weighton. 2) Thixendale. 3) Sherburn 4) Filey. Living locally I got a lift each day but I there are formal and informal camping opportunities at these points. Easy enough to accomplish although most of the best stuff is crammed into day 2
