No way is it heat damage - unless you are walking at 6000 steps per minute!


Looks to me as if the damage is caused by abrasion from a rough strap, or perhaps the buckle itself. Is the damage only on one side? I would inspect the buckle for sharp moulding marks etc - if you find some, then you certainly have a case and could try claiming for the damage to the jacket.

Yeah damage just on the one side. I'll take a look at the strap closer and see if anything looks a bit unusual
