In a typical piece of BBC news, the reporter has done no more than repeat all the hype that was handed out.
The only comment on the effect on the environment is as follows:
"The claim is that these pylons will be less obtrusive not just because of their shorter stature, but because the design allows them to "follow the contours of the land."
How's that for a fine piece of BS? To me they look almost as unsightly as what they will replace. Wonder if they would blend in more if they made them a duller colour?
