Hello again. Not been on for a good while. Good news is, I completed the coast to coast walk in May this year. After a year suffering from depression and alcohol abuse and lately high blood pressure and now on medication for that. It was last year I decided to plan a coast to coast walk and decided on a plan of using campsites, bed and breakfast and a bunkhouse for accommodation and booked up that. I booked the packhorse baggage service. But the few months beforehand, I was very anxious about the whole thing, can i do or not. My training was poor, only doing a couple of 8 miles on the flat and pavement at that. I knew, deep downside of me, I can only try it and see how things pan out. Anyway, the money was saved up and train ticket booked. The gear was packed up and I thought, well here we go yet again. I reached St Bees and the weather forecast for coming fortnight was looking good and it was. The first day to Low [censored] how farm was great, feeling good. Next day decided on the North shore side of Ennerdale and reached Honister Pass yha. Next day was a long day to Patterdale and did it no problem. Anyway the walk was fantastic and met some wonderful people and done me the world of good. I only suffered from two toe nails coming away and a couple of blisters. Best thing, I worn shorts and t-shirt all the way, the weather was glorious.
