Moblie phone coverage in Ambleside
« on: 23:48:57, 25/06/20 »
Hey, I'm moving to Ambleside soon and I was wondering if anyone could advise me on mobile signal strength? I'm currently on Three. Thanks :)

Welcome to the forum, LissBird. I live nearby so next time I am driving through I'll see what signal strength I get on Vodafone.  :)

Edit - and good luck with the move.

EE is ok at the top of the town but fades as you get down to Rothay Bridge. It's not too bad at Waterside.

O2 is fine in the middle of Ambleside.  I had problems in the Langdale valley though.  Then again, my phone is donkey's years old now - a more modern phone might have more powerful gubbins to pick signal up.

I am curious though LissBird, what made you choose a walking forum to ask this question?  Welcome anyway  :)

Drove through Ambleside yesterday morning. 3 bars with Vodafone near the main car park on the N side of town, and 3 bars as I was leaving heading south.
