Slievenabrock
« on: 15:04:39, 13/10/19 »
With cloudy skies in the west yesterday in the Mournes, I opted for an eastern walk. The higher summits had intermittent clouds encircling around the summits so, the obvious choice became Slievenabrock. I always base my walks near a forest during the autumnal months. Starting from Tullymore forest park, I walked beside the Shimna river on a good track before leaving the forest off the beaten track. Climbing over wild moorland I eventually reached Slievenabrock. This is a summit I had only climbed once before. The descent was quite marshy back to Tullymore forest. Picking up the track again I returned to the car park on a circular route. Total distance was nearly 10km.

Lovely shots henry  O0 The trees are turning in Cumbria now, autumn is great for photos. I don't think you have mentioned Slieve Croob before. A brilliant name  :)

Thanks April, Slieve Croob is in the Dromara hills, just outside of the main Mourne range :)
