Great report and photos Richard O0  I've never climbed Pillar so these photos make good viewing of an unfamiliar area. I really like the Mosedale valley shot with the Scafells in the background :)

Inspiring report Richard!
Having read it 10 months ago I remembered enough about it to include Scout Tarn in the plans for our Lakes trip this year.
