What a difference a week makes. I was up that way the Sunday before in rain and gale force winds but temperatures so mild there wasn’t a hint of winter.
Hi Tim,
Yes it was a bit wet the previous week. I was on the Fairfield Horshoe that weekend and it wasn't too much fun. As you say, what a difference a week makes.

Hi Karl,
A friend of mine had a bad accident on Kirkston Pass on the Saturday so I decided to not even try it on the Sunday. Hoping it's not too bad this weekend as I'm hoping to head to Hartsop at some point.
The Greenburn round must have been just as nice!!!
Great photos, looks lovely
It was a great walk. Thornthwaite is most definitely one of my favourites.
Cracking pictures Lee - I made the wrong decision on Sunday and walked locally up the coast path in grey cloud - b#gger
Hi Paul,
I'm sure you still had a good day out though. Hopefully we can catch up soon

Edited to thank the right person for the pics
I only used my phone for the pics. Sadly it decided it was too cold when I was on Froswick so wouldn't start up.... I missed a superb pic too
Thank you once again everyone for your kind comments.
With a bit of luck at least one day this weekend might be just the same
Cheers
Lee
