Slieve Foye
« on: 15:59:41, 06/05/19 »
I decided to travel down south again during the bank holiday week-end to climb Slieve Foye and Barnavave. It has been nearly six years since I visited the area. With a very favourable forecast I decided to have a longer day out than a traditional Mourne mountain walk. I drove to Carlingford via Newry to start a circular walk. On previous occasions I walked the route anti-clockwise. I decided to walk clockwise on this occasion taking in Barnavave as well. The views across Carlingford lough to the Mournes are sublime. Total distance was just over 13km.

Lovely.

I always enjoy your photo reports, Henry; fascinating to see interesting hills that I don't know.

Nice write up and pics henryb.  I'm liking the look of the hills in Ireland, one day I'll have to visit and go roaming.
