I like your list. The caravan, is it a mobile home? We had a caravan in the 70s/80s, we found the best way to use it was to keep it parked in one location for a season, then somewhere else the next season, I really got fed up towing the thing. What motorbike? I used to use a Yamaha 1200cc to commute back and forth to London a few years ago, once in 6th gear, I never really had to change until the dual carriageway ended halfway into London. Bivvy bag, me too! Leaving bikes unattended and locked up, I've had three stolen from our train station in 20 years, bolt croppers used each time. Yes, I too dislike false summits. I always remember time when I noticed this, a very wet, cold and foggy day, walking from Garrigill to Greg's hut, every time I thought I was at the top and near the hut, I wasn't!

No, it's a 3 berth caravan. I just haven't had the chance to get a tow bar yet. I'm happy to leave a car in most places, but it's never nice leaving a bike.

An interesting list. One of the items on mine is Anti-Caravan Photon Torpedo. :)

But photons are mass-less.  In fact they are famous for travelling light!

I'm not in a caravan club or anything. If I were a serious caravan enthusiast, I'd probably own a set of caravan mirrors and kitted the thing out with board games and a fairly ghastly dinner set from Argos. I have done none of those things. I haven't even used the thing, though I have slept in it and ran a cable through so I could watch reruns of Heartbeat.   I'll likely flip the caravan  when the time is right. It just  sits there, blocking sunlight  and it's  a sharp reminder about impulse buying.

Talking about blocking sunlight, my grandfather campaigned to have a perfectly healthy tree cut down which he claimed was dangerous. In reality, the tree just blocked sunlight. Anyways, the tree was cut down. And I'm sure he was really pleased with himself. But here's thing, the silly sod got his comeuppance as he had to  draw both curtains because the sunlight made it near impossible to watch TV during the day. I probably had no sympathy for him.

Tow it at the right speed and you can get a tail slapper going. Then the caravan might flip itself.

I went for a job interview as the production manager at a caravan company.
I was asked what I knew about caravans.
'Not a lot' I replied, 'they should only be allowed on the roads on Christmas Day and that is the only day it should be allowed to snow.'

I got the job.
