Is the big hill Great Gable? Very lovely wherever it is.

Shouldn’t this thread be changed to “where (in Scotland) is this?  :D

I went digital just after I moved to Scotland, most of my photos of England and Wales are on slides in a box under the stairs. Maybe I should go through them and scan some onto the computer.

It took a long time to load for me, too. And it is very beautiful.

Just to clarify before I start, Petrolhead, is this in the UK?

Yes mate. It's in the UK.

I thought of Slioch but the angles look all wrong for Loch Maree.

Edit - I think that you are right, Brandywell, but there appear to be a lot of lower hills in the foreground.

You guys are INCREDIBLE!!!

Blown away. Don't know how you do it!!!

Round of applause.

I was actually about 17 miles away from the mountain when the shot was taken, standing at the standard "photographer's viewpoint" at the Quiraing. I remember taking it and thinking it had nothing really that could identify it. Then I immediately thought of this thread.

And it took you about 30 seconds!

 :D

Bravo!

Lovely photo[/color]

Is that a scanned slide, on an ordinary scanner, Owen?

Are you on Great Gable, looking SE over a mist filled Wasdale?

I'm a bit puzzled by the apparent hills in the distance, but I'm assuming that these are in fact clouds. Unless it is a VERY clear day!
