We got the bus to Threlkeld on Saturday. We had Squeaky with us again and we were doing a day walk and not wild camping. There was an uncertain weather forecast with light rain forecast for most of the day so we didn't know how wet we would get and it was forecast to be windy higher up.
Latrigg from near Wescoe Farm
We were on the way over Latrigg.
Latrigg and the NW fells seen behind
As you can see there was a bit of blue sky, no rain and not very windy.
Lonscale Fell
Lonscale Fell and Blease Fell
Squeaky had a new waterproof coat on
Blease Fell from Latrigg's east ridge
Clough Head from the east ridge of Latrigg
Skiddaw from Latrigg
The views weren't bad, we hadn't expected such a good day, still no rain.
Beefy and Squeaky near to Latrigg summit
There were two people sat very near to the summit but I still managed to get some shots without them on
NW fells from Latrigg
Dodd and Bass Lake
Autumnal colours in view on the way down Latrigg
We stopped for some lunch just off the main path
Lunchtime view, amazing colour
More autumnal trees on the way down
Catbells, Hindscarth, Robinson and Causey Pike
A rather lovely tree in Fitz Park
We were lucky with the weather, we hadn't got wet and the wind wasn't that strong although it had got more blustery when we reached Keswick. Our route was Threlkeld - Wescoe - Brundholme - Latrigg - Mallen Dodd - Briar Rigg - Fitz Park - Keswick Bus Station. 10km with 366m ascent.
