Title: A gap in the weather.

It was definitely not walking weather in the South Lakes yesterday but a brief gap in the rain was enough for us to get in a very atmospheric stroll around Roanhead.

The first one is fantastic!
Longtime since I've been near Barrow, don't think I've been to Roanhead. One day.

Very dramatic photos, especially the first one of Black Combe across the water.  O0

I was at Sandscale Haws in June - https://www.walkingforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=40442.0 (https://www.walkingforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=40442.0)

PS - had very little rain in Grange over Sands today, just a few spots late on. Rest of the day has been quite sunny.
