TR - a late afternoon foray up Stony Cove Pike

Good TR Richard, thank you. It motivated us to pop up there today, after wife's early shift and before my night shift, a brief window of opportunity.
It was sunny but with a chilly wind, good pub lunch though, and the camp site was almost deserted.

Thanks Pitboot; you had better weather than I did. Yeah, not many tents when I was there - I think that there were only 4, mine included. A VW campervan and a strange micro teardrop caravan over on the posh side of the site, but that was about it.


Regarding the food - I ordered Nachos as a starter, fully intending to follow up with a Steak Pie, but the portion was so big that I felt no need for the main! And the Cumberland Ale was spot on.
