Thanks aj for organising this meet up.  A memorable day with great weather and company, it was nice to see some old friends again and meet new ones from the forum.  Well done Swampy, you showed real determination to gerrup there, it must have been a bit off-putting for you seeing those rock climbers on Stoat Crack right at the start of the rake.  :)

Thanks Pete for leading the group up, and guess who for taking and posting some great photos and I'm sorry that your camera got damaged Paul.

However I'm not entirely convinced about that presentation photo Pete.  I've studied it and found it hard to believe that aj actually let go of that "certificate"

Look at how tightly he's gripping it and if you blow it up you will see that the Queens eyes are closed, caught in mid-blink by the strong sunlight after all those years wrapped and trapped in his thick roll of white fivers - naw it never happened.  ;)

Seriously though, if you've never been on a meet-up before, make an effort to attend one of Dave's - you won't be disappointed, whatever the weather throws at you - top man  O0

Hope everyone enjoyed this classic route.

" Ye who have climbed to the great white veil, heard ye the chant?
   Saw ye the Grail? "

Note to aj - the words of a real poet - Fred Winthrop Young  O0

You never said there would be a susstifficate (especially a "Brown form 10")  ::)  I'd have come for sure  O0

Very well done all of you.  I especially liked the various climbing moves and techniques, most of which I'm not advanced enough to have used, as I've never heard of them 8)   I notice you didn't use the Crib Goch "Freeze and [censored] it"  move anywhere  :)

Oh well there's always next time  ;D

Looks like you had a great day out guys. Well done on conquering the Rake! O0 I'm guessing that ramblingpete wasn't allowed to navigate on this walk seeing as there's no mention of getting lost in a quarry... ;) ;D
