Coming up onto Fan Hir - when the weather was still just about good enough to have the camera out!

Loads of snow, at some points where it had drifted it was waste deep! Had to put my camera away after Fan Hir as it snowed the rest of the day and was very windy :( No views to the lake sadly, but was nice to sit down by the shore out of the wind for a few minutes.

Got a little lost on Saturday. Could have sworn i set out to walk near Castle Hedingham, Essex but apparently i must have turned west and kept walking:

Perhaps its SteviaPlumFairy's influence on the Essex footpaths....  ;D

From the same walk. Would not, for a moment call this a 'best pic'. No time to setup (train was moving as i walked up the footpath), sun behind subject, camera phone. But still posting it anyway. Gives me an excuse to go back and try again! Good spot to hang around as the trains all stop there before changing direction on the 1/2 mile track. The signal box is right there too.

Colne Valley Railway. For those that are train spotters; "Castle Donington No.1 is a 1954 built Robert Stephenson Hawthorns (7817) 0-4-0ST from theMidland Railway - Butterley"
