I must make more of an effort to come in here and try to contribute, there are some lovely shots.
Snapped this one while out on a local walk a while ago: the detail of the wings is what caught my eye and how it was collecting the pollen and storing it before flying off.

Great shot, getting the detail of the wings, good focus in a very narrow field of view. I like it as a picture :)

Thank you, the Bee was very cooperative and stayed still for quite a while O0
It's true what they say, its not always about the equipment you use it the person behind it, this was taken with a point and shoot (OK a good quality one) I have professional standard camera's for my when I had my business. But the standard of point and shoots and especially the range of Bridge Cameras is excellent. There was a professional photographer in London tat won a £3000 prize a few years go, she has multiple of thousends of ££ of camera equipment, but used a point and shoot.

I took this yesterday on Ruardean Hill. I didn't think too much of it at the time, but it came out really well.

I have just returned from staying a week near Lampeter in Mid-Wales. On our first day there I walked without a map following waymarks, as these petered out and not being too fussy about checking the other side of the posts I followed a trail of bootprints and high energy bar packets, until this this trail vaporised, hopefully the anti-litter Dalek's were out exterminating this particular sub species of Homo Pratiens. As I sat and looked about me I spotted a distant trig point, from where I was able to reconnect with my limited knowledge of the area. Still a way off the Public right of way I came across this, a well behaved rambler may not have stumbled across it, so it was my Best Pic of the Day.
