Al,  I might be wrong, but I don't really think that a genuinely good quality, fully waterproof compact camera exists. Try looking around here: http://www.wexphotographic.com/

I've used camera casings in the past but it bit does make them very bulky, so the compact become not compact at all...

Bit of storm damage on todays walk.




These three trees (all about the same size) went over, and ripped up the section of stream bank with it:
