The silly season
« on: 17:35:58, 24/04/17 »
On my way back from the bank yesterday I passed a guy walking up the A68 as part of his Lands end to John o Groats trip nothing unusual in that except he was protesting about Heathrows 3rd runway and he had a model aircraft stuck to his head? I thought I had seen it all but later that day a Jedi Knight complete with light sabre called to ask for accommodation !!He is a navy policeman called Daryl Haynes who is walking for 3 charities one of which was the Rainbow trust (hence the Star wars theme) He is currently on his way to Bellingham may the force be with him.

Perhaps the idea of the plane is that if he walks into the wind it will reduce his weight. However if it blows too hard he may be back to Forest View before too long! ;D

Rather be walking

This is not the accommodation you're looking for.

I hope the weather warms upa bit for him it`s snowing a blizzard here today. The last time a naked rambler was at Byrness he walked past and went straight up onto the cheviot ridge I wouldn`t have cared but the ladies in that night were relieved. Joyce
