West Highland Way

Well, all ready for the off on this walk. Staying overnight in Glasgow tomorrow, Monday, and we set off from the start at Milngavie Tuesday morning. Four of us looking forward to a week of fine weather, a visit to Glengoyne distillery en route and some good company.............anyone else starting this week?

Nope, it looks like I'll be missing out on the WHW this year, I hope you have a good one  O0

Original plan was to start this week but I've had to postpone to the next.


You're not camping at Drymen by any chance, are you? Somewhere I read that the Drymen campsite is closed (can't find the link again, unfortunately) and I was planning to stay there. They have two websites - one appears to date back to 2007 and the other (a Wordpress site) is being "redesigned" (and has been for quite a while).

No, we are not camping anywhere along the route...........B&Bs, fine dining, whisky tasting!

Don't forget to over eat in the self service buffet breakfast in the morning so you won't be hungry the rest of the day  O0
