Derwent Edge, Crow Stones, and Alport Castles
« on: 19:28:38, 13/11/19 »
Another old walk I've only just gotten around to writing up. This one is quite a long one at just over 22 miles. I designed it like that intentionally as I was trying trying to burn off the Christmas excesses! Can't believe it was almost a year ago - it doesn't seem like 2 minutes ago I was there. A great walk which I finished in darkness. The route is Derwent edge, Cartledge Brook, Howden Edge to Outer Edge, Crow Stones, Ridgewalk Moor, Alport Castles.

Really nice report, thanks for sharing. I like that you post gpx links and can link straight to the route in Viewranger, dead handy.

Yep - I'd had a lazy Christmas and wanted to punish myself a bit!

Glad you find it useful - I'm contemplating doing the same with OS Maps too. Shouldn't be much effort as I'm already using OS Maps to create the gpx files.
