I think the following website is really good for finding out how far you have walked without touching a bit of string.

Just thought i would share it!

EDIT: oops just tried http://www.mapmywalk.com/ and it works  :D (i think the running one will have more routes on it)

If you want a little more detail about your walks then try using

Ok, I'm biased as it's my site, but what I'm trying to do is get people to post a little more about the walks and runs so people can find where is really good to go, rather that a mass of squiggles on a map which doesn't help anyone.

The site is really new so I'd love to hear what you think.
Bad comments are actually really welcome as I just want it to be easy to use.
