Pillow

Any recommendations for a comfortable, reliable, lightweight pillow?

I found one while out walking yesterday, sadly, whoever had dumped it had slashed it too but it was full of those polythene packaging chips and was remarkably light so I got thinking how it's a luxury I may be willing to carry the extra little bit of weight for.

I use a similar on from Trekmates, for the same reasons.

Go outdoors and mountain warhouse had the soft fluffy roll up pillows for about £4 wen I was in there , and both tesco ad homebase were flogging off the inflatable ones for about £1 so I would just keep an eye out for them when you are out and about (in the shops, not on the hills :) ) and you can probably get something for not very many pennies at all.

I bought myself one of these last week http://www.cotswoldoutdoor.com/index.cfm/product/coleman-pillow/fuseaction/products.detail/code/83310005 as i have tried a rolled up fleece, dry bag and jacket.  Thermarest also do their own self lofting pillow which was tempting until i saw the prce £22.50 :-[

I had my dry bag full of clothes, I'd taken a lot of care not to include anything hard (like a craghoppers belt) but it had all ended up sort of vacuum packed and quite hard - hence the question.

I seem to be able to sleep through most things these days as long as I'm comfortable pillow-wise so it's an important consideration for me.

you don't have to wear it ;) go for a polar buff if you want A pot cosy ;)

or. forget the buff and just use the inflatable bit for a 50g-ish pillow :P

Off topic post :P )

You boil water in the pot. remove pot* of boiling water from stove, add food (works best with pasta and/or noodles) to pot. wrap pot in pot cosy to insulate to prevent water going cold too quickly. wait until cooked or water is absorbed.

*personally prefer to add water to a ziplock bag so the pot can be used whilst waiting for food to cook.
