1.Would a product that allows you to carry wet clothes be useful?
2.Where would you carry it?
3.How would it ideally work , based on you're own experiences?
4.What would the requirements be for the product?
5.Who (what age-range or skill range of people do you think would be the main users of the product) would be interested in using the product?
The product would be a piece that would go outside of the bag in order to allow wet, or dirty clothes to be kept outside of the bag so that other clothes or equipment doesn't become wet or dirty.

Thank you for your time.

Edited to add:  Aaah, now you've edited your post it makes my original answers look a bit .... odd so, in the spirit of editing, I've adjusted my answers accordingly:

1. Yes.
2. Inside my rucksack until required.  Then the outside of my rucksack, attached via existing bungee cords or in the mesh panel on the outside of my rucksack.  *
3. It would work by preventing my wet clothes from making the rest of my stuff wet.
4. Waterproof. Compact. Lightweight.
5. Anyone wanting to keep wet clothes separate from dry clothes. No particular age range and anyone might need to do it.

* What would be useful is a rucksack made of totally waterproof material (including zips) to keep the insides dry but with a mesh panel on the outside to house wet clothes.

Edited again:  Sorry jimbob, my edited answer now makes your comment below look a bit .... odd  ;D

I realise that you are trying your best to carry out your survey for your course. That is good stuff and you have come to the right forum for such a product survey.
However you seem to have decided  upon the item you are going to design before you have thought about the requirement  for said item. I.e. is there a real need for something (anything) to be designed from scratch. Research is needed before you do the survey.

Mel has shown that even a tiny amount of research would have come up with a simple ready made solution to the problem you pose.  Further research would show a marketplace full of dry bags of all descriptions specifically designed for the same purpose.
I advise  you to remember the old USA vs USSR writing in space problem. NASA spent a huge amount of money developing a biro that worked in gravity free space, it took them a huge amount of time and effort. They got there in the end. When the cold war thawed an astronaut asked a cosmonaut what they used in space to write their notes. The answer was "a pencil".
If you read the forum avidly you will find things that catch your eye from a design project point of view. I recomended you start with Gunwharfmans uncomfortable rucksack thread.
Good luck with your project and your exams. Have fun, school is supposed to be the best time of your life.

1.Currently, there is only really a plastic bag that can be used. A new product would be useful, as many bags that I have used have ripped mid-hike, spilling my dirty clothes out of my bag.
2.A portable clothes line would be ideal, that can be carried off the rucksack.
3.It can attach to the bag, and have rungs like the outdoor clothes lines.
4.Should be LIGHTWEIGHT. Bags are already heavy I really wouldn't want a super heavy clothes line just weighing me down.
5.The product increases comfort, so I guess everyone would be able to use it. You wouldn't really need to specialise it for a certain group if that is what you are asking(?)
