Day two- that horrible feeling in your feet
« on: 13:45:05, 07/10/08 »
Whenever I go on two day hikes, I always find that on the 2nd day my feet feel as though they dont want to go anywhere.  Is there any way of stopping this and waking up in the morning feeling fresh and ready?

Hi, I find that a fresh pair of socks help every day.And i also spend a bit of time giving them a massage with foot balm in the evening after they have been washed. Also having good insoles makes a big differance.

You could also consider getting some Sorbothane insoles for your boots - they cost a lot of money, but they're worth their weight in gold . . .

I would also like to add that you should invest in a decent boot drier, I know of only one made in the UK which gives you a reason in the morning to actually look forward to strapping your boots on.
