Nice one. We went last year but did the coach trips to the main places you did and also snowmobiling which was mint  O0  Oh and the northern lights  :D  Would love to see the north of the island in summer

Some cracking photos there, Dave. It's such a stunning place - we went about 10 years ago and like you it was more sight-seeing than hiking but we did take trips out to Gulfoss and some geysers. High on the list to re-visit and properly explore.

We were only there for 5 days but hiring a car meant we could get out to Jokulsarlon and Vatnajokull - they're a fair trek from Reykjavik. Do-able in the summer probably but a car was pretty necessary for winter travel
