Castlewellan walk
« on: 20:25:41, 29/10/17 »
With the Mournes clagged in this weekend I opted for a lower level walk through Castlewellan forest park. I always base my walk in a forest at this time of year so that the leaves show off their autumnal glory. The walk is a simple 5km dander along a good track around the lake. I was greeted by about 30-40 seagulls at the beginning and end of the walk. I walked in an anti-clockwise direction through Autumn wood before returning to the car park beside the Lake shore path. It was nice to get back out again as it seemed like ages since my last walk in the Mournes but with buying a new car and a new camera other things took priority. Hopefully normal service will be resumed in the future :)

Some of those shots look like stills from Hitchcock's The Birds, Henry!  :)

Looks like a nice, peaceful location for a low level walk.  O0

Thanks adalard and April :)  Autumn is my favourite time of year for walking. Castlewellan is my favourite forest in Northern Ireland. I'm hoping to head to Kilbroney forest sometime :)
