A new LDR
« on: 11:37:36, 27/09/18 »
So i just read about a new LDR that's been launched. 1740km called the Patagonia route of parks.

It's in Chile and connects the 17 national parks. Here's a link lots of interesting info.

I saw this on the BBC and thought you should see it:

If anyone is thinking about walking it then it is 1,740 miles not kilometres!

This entry prompted me to remember a 60ish aged bloke, articulate and sociable who I met on Hadrian's Wall, near Housesteads, during the summer three years ago. He was stopping people, including me and was asking if everyone could complete his survey. He claimed he was designing a new LDF and wanted to call it the English Way. I listened for a short while until he started to explain that he was indeed, designing it for English people only! I then realised that he was a little 'odd' so I politely told him I wasn't really interested and strolled off.

I've often wanted to go to Chile but know I'll never make it, interesting read though.
