If I’d have known 5 months ago I wouldn’t have.

Oh I don't know... it doesn't look too bad for next week.  Might see a few heavy showers!!

Also off to the Lakes tomorrow and I think the forecast is pretty reasonable. But whatever I will enjoy the walking anyway.
It's all uphill from here.

A week without rain up here is a rarity. Enjoy your trip.

In Keswick, the Norwich Ramblers have the same week in the Lakes each year. As an ex NRambler now in Somerset I still attend.
It's all uphill from here.

The longterm forecast, is for slightly warmer temperatures but still remaining fairly unsettled.
As we all know, its the western regions of the British Isles that receive the most rain and colder temperatues.

Today in Dyffryn, it was dry for the first time in over a week, (nine continuous days of rain) and i managed a pleasant walk up Moelfre, but blimey is the ground saturated.

Ive never seen so much saturated ground, the entire mountainside is still awash with rainwater cascading downhill.

It almost looks like a dam has burst its banks, and the water has nowhere to go, other than downhill towards the sea.

Boy oh Boy i would love to find out how much rainfall this part of Snowdonia has received this June.

There's no mention of Capel Curig, the residents must all be drowned, as there have been only two days this month where its remained dry.

Its best to pack your full waterproof kit, as the unsettled spell of wet weather is still with us.

I was in the Lakes a couple of weeks ago and despite the forecast we managed a week of getting out every day, and we didn't have any days of complete washout.  We just looked at the clouds and decided whether we would be better with and early start and early finish or a lengthy 2nd cup of coffee and give it an hour or so to get better.  We also had a few lower level walks planned for the days the cloud never lifted from the tops.
You can't expect to stay dry for a whole week in the Lakes after all!
(Except a few years ago when I did the Cumbria Way in a heatwave and had to buy a sunhat in Coniston)
